I love this new decal. It makes my Kindle beautiful and unique. It really was simple to put on (Really!) and I had no problems placing the pieces (back and front) to get a smooth look with no bubbles or wrinkles. It is removable (I repositioned it a bit as I was putting it on to get it exactly right), and I might be inclined to buy another one someday just for a change in design. It will protect from fingerprints and smudges and such, but isn't designed to protect from drops. I use it with the Kindle cover, not as a replacement. It also makes holding the Kindle without the cover a little nicer. Without the decal, the back of the Kindle felt a bit slippery to hold on to, but with the decal I am more secure in not using the cover all the time when reading.
