I like the convenience of the Nook for travel but it does not work well. It says it goes to the "last page read". My doesn't! Trying to use a bookmark doesn't work nor does "go to the last page read" You can't get to customer service. The battery goes down quickly. Their instructions to delete a book doesn't work as it says to access the menu to delete a book. i can't find a "menu" button. If you are thinking about it wait until they fix their glitches. These look really sharp on the kindle. The white surface with grey screen on the kindle 2 is harder to look at in bright light than with one of these covering it. It also would depend on the design and color of the design you pick. There's hundreds of them. They are easy to put on and if you don't get it right the first time, they are also easy to lift and change position before finally laying it down. The surface has a shiny appearance that is consistent with the surface of the device and looks like it belongs there once it's in place. It really makes it easier to read for me. "Six Silly Foxes" sounds like so much fun. It's not. In fact, I have to say that I don't 'get it'.

What's wrong with this book? It asks questions on nearly every other page which it does NOT answer. How much fun for kids is that?

Examples of the questions asked:
"How can six silly foxes hop on boxes filled with eggs?"
"How can six sad foxes fix an old banjo?"
"How can six hungry foxes snack on ice cream in the heat?"

Answer (I suppose is):

"We are six happy foxes.
You ask how that can be?
Silly or sad, hungry or mad,
we are all so very happy
in this mixed-up family!"

Maybe this is some 'new fangled' way of approaching children's literature but my children and I didn't get it. They (3 and 5) asked me to read something else.

I homeschool my 4 1/2 year old son and have bought just about every beginning reader book to help learn the joy of reading and slowly teach him how to read. By far, Brand New Readers are the very, very best. I highly recommend them to parents and hope you try these before you go out and buy any others, no other company does it better. The stories are short, very cute and fun, with vibrant pictures so your child will want to go from story to story. They always have a really cute ending that even adults will enjoy. What is so wonderful about them is that they are repetitive from page to page with only simple changes so your child can predict the words using the pictures and read the story themselves. Even though my son can not actually read he feels like a successful, independent reader and is so proud that he can read his favorite stories anytime he wants, all by himself. Like all the Brand New Reader books, these went over well. I bought them a few months ago for my GS to read over the summer. Part of the "Nonna Summer Reading Program" - he calls me Nonna.
My GS has gotten to a point where BNR are really too easy, he usually chooses more difficult books now. This is largely due to the BNR books providing such positive early reading experiences.

I bought this splendid sleeve as primary protection for the K2 I bought my fiancee this Christmas, and I couldn't be happier.
First, I fully approve of the construction of the just right thickness of silicone, a material that experience has shown is a wise choice, having had the excellent Speck brand iPod case constructed of the same material for the last four years.
The nice thing about silicone is that it does not break down the way natural rubber will from oxidation, very heat resistant, and does not easily stretch out of shape.
I bought this to prevent minor scratches and dents, with this excellent zippered neoprene case Belkin Neoprene Kindle Case (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) as the traveling and storage protection.
A bonus with this sleeve is that it makes the Kindle far easier to maintain a grip on, plus it prevents it from skidding off a table, and it could even be used on a somewhat inclined surface to allow hands free reading.
The case has two small cutouts on the back for the speakers, one small cutout for the five position directional controller, another larger cutout for the keyboard, and one large cutout for the screen.
This is exactly what I wanted, and I am glad that it does not cover the keyboard, which would have impeded key entries, plus the screen not being covered allows unfettered reading.
I am also extremely pleased that my fiancee's Kindle fits perfectly inside the case linked above, even with this sleeve attached.

This cover is just what I needed for my kindle. I really wanted something that protected it while I was reading, but didn't add any weight.
I got the clear cover and you can see the words on the buttons right through the cover (to be expected with clear) and there are cut outs for the toggle buttons and speakers. The key board is not covered, which is ok with me. I used to have a cover that covered keys on a blackberry and that got in the way.
I have not put the screen gaurd on yet, but I probably will before I travel. The fit is a little bit loose but not too bad.
