This item looks much like another Kindle stand offered by the same company (Cyncronix). Mine is made of wood or a similar material covered by a very good looking sparkling film. It makes the Kindle quite attractive when it reflects night-lamp light while reading in bed. The stand is incredibly light and thin. While folded flat on the back of my Kindle it truly goes out of the way. When I open it to hold the Kindle upright on a desk it brings new beauty to the entire Kindle and is very practical. It is so nice to have my Kindle wait for me on the desk standing upright. Friends asked if this is some modern sculpture and where it comes from! The most pleasing attribute of the Cyncronix Kindle Stand is, however, its uncompromising practicality. No extras to lug around, every part of it is functional in a minimalist sort of way. There are no extras, just enough to do its function with most economy of weight and space.
